Thank you for your support of Osaka City University Hospital.
This hospital is the sole university hospital in Osaka City and plays the role of a high-level medical institution as a core hospital providing community-based healthcare. Designated by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as a Cancer Medical Treatment Regional Base Hospital, we are promoting the development of new cancer diagnostic and treatment methods.
Osaka City University Hospital operations are founded on three principles: providing high-quality healthcare that contributes to citizens’ health, nurturing spiritually rich and trustworthy medical professionals, and making continuous, untiring efforts to further advance healthcare. These principles are based on the founding spirit of the Osaka City University Faculty of Medicine: “Wisdom, Valor, and Benevolence.”1
The hospital has 37 clinical departments and 972 beds (as of April 2018), and staff comprising a wide range of professions include physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals who work hard every day to provide patients with diversified support. We are also pouring efforts into improving the hospital environment with the establishment of the Inpatients Reception, Cancer Consultation and Support Room, and other initiatives.
Moreover, with voices desiring longer healthy life expectancy grow louder and louder these days, we are providing medical examinations and treatments utilizing highly specialized human resources and highly advanced medical care that only a university hospital can provide through MedCity21, Division of Premier Preventive Medicine, Osaka City University Hospital.
In future, we will continue to strive to be a hospital that is closely in tune with the feelings of patients and others whom we serve, and I ask for your continued understanding and support for these endeavors.
Director, Osaka City University Hospital
